Blood Bank

Blood banks save lives—and not just for humans! Bellingham Veterinary is proud to be a collection clinic for the Northwest Veterinary Blood Bank, which provides blood products to pets in need due to illness and injury. Our all-volunteer blood donors provided over 600 transfusions in the last year with blood products provided to veterinary hospitals throughout the United States. All of our donors are blood typed and tested for infectious diseases. We are members of the Association of Veterinary Hematology and Transfusion Medicine and follow their guidelines for blood processing.
