Dr. Edmund Sullivan

Dr. Sullivan has a special interest in oncology and advanced diagnostic imaging. He has spearheaded bone marrow transplantation for the treatment of canine lymphoma and has been an author in many publications on the topic. He has many years’ experience in the field of oncology and is currently accepting new cancer patients. Through his efforts, our hospital is able to provide the highest level of advanced imaging using CT scanning and MRI exams, done at state-of-the-art facilities in Bellingham.

Dr. Theresa Westfall

Dr.Westfall has concentrated in surgery and immuno-oncology in her years as a veterinarian. Since graduating from Oregon State University, she has spent many years investing in specialized training in neurology, orthopedic surgery, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. The past few years she has collaborated with worldwide pharmaceutical companies advancing the knowledge of immunology through cutting edge treatments with various types of immunotherapy. In a true sense of “One Health”- the information acquired through these studies is applicable to both humans and dogs with cancer.

Dr. Zanna Sullivan

Dr. Zanna Sullivan (she/her) joined the Bellingham Veterinary team in August 2025. A native of Bellingham, she is thrilled to be practicing in the community where she grew up. Dr. Sullivan earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2020, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024.

Her professional interests include preventative care medicine, small animal dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and urgent care. Above all, Dr. Sullivan finds it most rewarding to serve as an advocate for animals, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met. Inspired by her parents and her lifelong experiences with horses, veterinary medicine was a natural calling.

At home, Dr. Sullivan shares her life with three beloved cats—Louise, who has a sweet tooth for vanilla ice cream; Jasper, known as the best bird catcher in town; and Schmidty, who loves to play fetch with a rainbow pom-pom just like a dog. She also enjoys spending time with her horse, Wyatt, whose best friend is a miniature horse named Whiskey. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sullivan loves reading, running, swimming, painting, and music—whether it’s playing piano or learning guitar.
